Precautions for using liquid turbine flowmeter

With the continuous development of technology, liquid turbine flowmeter, as a high-precision flow measurement tool, is widely used in various industrial fields. However, in order to ensure its accuracy and stability during use, we must pay attention to the following points.

 

Firstly, the tested liquid should be kept clean and free of impurities such as fibers and particles. This is because impurities may clog the flow meter, leading to inaccurate measurements and even damaging the sensor. Therefore, before installing a liquid turbine flowmeter, we should filter and purify the liquid to ensure that it meets the measurement requirements.

 

Secondly, when installing a liquid turbine flowmeter, we should choose the center position of the pipeline for installation and ensure that the diameter of the pipeline matches the flowmeter. This ensures that the flowmeter can accurately measure the flow rate of the liquid and will not cause errors due to improper installation position. In addition, when the sensor is first used, we should slowly fill the sensor with liquid before opening the outlet valve to avoid the sensor being impacted by high-speed fluid in a liquid free state, which may damage the flowmeter.

 

During use, we also need to regularly calibrate and maintain the liquid turbine flowmeter. This is because long-term use may cause wear or blockage of internal parts of the flowmeter, thereby affecting the accuracy of measurement. Therefore, we should regularly use professional calibration tools to calibrate and adjust the flowmeter to ensure that its various parameters meet the requirements. At the same time, we should regularly clean the liquid inside the sensor and add protective covers at both ends of the sensor to prevent dust and dirt from entering, and then store it in a dry place.

 

In addition, we also need to pay attention to the maintenance cycle of liquid turbine flow meters. Generally speaking, the maintenance cycle for sensors is usually six months. During maintenance and cleaning, we should pay special attention not to damage the parts inside the measuring chamber, especially the impeller. When assembling, we should also pay attention to the position relationship between the guide and impeller to ensure that the flowmeter can operate normally.

 

Finally, before installing the liquid turbine flowmeter, we should first connect the wires to the display instrument or oscilloscope, turn on the power, blow or manually turn the impeller to quickly rotate and observe whether there is any display. If there is a display, it indicates that the flow meter is normal; If there is no display, each part should be checked in a timely manner to eliminate the fault. This can ensure that we can detect and solve problems in a timely manner during use, avoiding production delays or losses caused by malfunctions.
